The universal tire pressure sensor of the direct tire pressure monitoring system is installed on the air supply port of the wheel hub. Some are installed on the inner side, which is called the built-in tire pressure monitoring system. Some are installed on the outside, which is called external tire pressure monitoring system. Therefore, when replacing the hub, the car tire pressure sensor should be removed and reinstalled on the new hub. For indirect TPMS, the wheel hub can be replaced directly without any influence. The compound TPMS is similar to the direct TPMS and the corresponding accessories are required to be removed from the hub.
