1. How to Recover the Tire Pressure Monitoring after Tire Replacement

After tire transposition, the car tire pressure monitoring system must be reset, also known as‘tire pressure learning’. Each tire is equipped with a tire pressure sensor, and the tire pressure is transmitted to the tire pressure control system of the vehicle through wireless method. The data instrument of the vehicle can display the tire pressure of each specific position. For example, if the left front wheel tire changes to the right rear wheel, and the tire pressure system is not reset, the car recognizes the original tire and still determines that it is the left front wheel, not the right rear wheel.

 

The method of resetting tire pressure monitoring is as follows.

 

(1) Stop and turn off the engine, then turn on the handbrake.

 

(2) The car should be powered, but do not start the engine.

 

(3) Press the lock and unlock keys on the remote control at the same time. Press and hold for 5 seconds, and listen to the car short whistle twice (The sound is not too loud).

 

(4) Next, reset each tire in the order of left front wheel, right front wheel, right rear wheel and left rear wheel.

 

(5) First reset the left front wheel. Unscrew the inflating valve cover on the tire, and continuously deflate (or inflate) the tire until the car sounds a short whistle, then the tire is set up. The deflation time can be 10 to 20 seconds. If the whistle is not heard, deflate it all the time.

 

(6) Then reset the other three tires in the same way and in the order above.

 

(7) When the last tire is set up, the car will have a short whistle twice. At this point, the tire pressure reset is finished.

 

(8) The next thing to do is to inflate the air pressure of each tire, and finally drive the car away.
