In the previous article, we have learned about the common pattern of tires and the applicable occasions. Today, we mainly analyze the other two patterns of tires and precautions.
The off-road pattern is characterized by a wide and deep pattern groove and a relatively small ground contact area (about 40% to 60%). When driving on a soft road, part of the soil will be embedded in the grooves of the pattern, the grip of the off-road pattern is large, and the tire is not easy to slip. According to tests, on muddy roads, vehicles of the same model can use off-road tread wheels with a traction of up to 1.5 times the normal tread pattern.
There are two types of off-road patterns: non-directional and directional patterns. Directional patterns are directional when used. Off-road tread tires are suitable for use on rough roads, soft soil roads and roadless areas. Because the contact pressure of the block is large and the rolling resistance is large, it is not suitable for driving on a good hard road for a long time. Otherwise, tire wear will be aggravated, fuel consumption will be increased, and vehicle vibration will be severe.
A mixed pattern is a transitional pattern between a normal pattern and an off-road pattern. It is characterized in that the middle part of the tread has narrow grooves with different directions or mainly in the longitudinal direction, and wide grooves with different directions in the two sides or mainly in the lateral direction.
This pattern combination makes the comprehensive performance of the mixed pattern good and adaptable. It is suitable for both good hard roads, gravel roads, slush roads and soft roads. Its adhesion performance is better than ordinary patterns, but its wear resistance is slightly inferior. Some trucks and four-wheel drive passenger cars use this type of patterned tire.
1. The patterned tires should be selected according to the purpose of the vehicle, the frequently used road conditions and the speed. For vehicles traveling at medium speeds on general hard roads, trucks and buses should use horizontal treads or tires with both vertical and horizontal treads; for vehicles that often drive on highways and good hard roads, those with good heat dissipation and lateral stability Vertical pattern and vertical and horizontal pattern tire.
2. As the speed of the vehicle increases, the water between the tread and the road surface is too late to form a water film between the two surfaces, slowly lifting the tire, and even leaving the road completely under certain conditions, causing the car to completely lose controllability. There are many factors that cause this situation, but the tire pattern and deep belief are one of the main factors. Anti-skid tires should be selected as far as possible for cars that often drive on the highway.
What else do you want to know about tires? Have you used the tire pressure monitor system? Since the tire plays an important role in vehicle, car owners should pay more attention to the tire, TPMS can help monitor the tire pressure, if you are interested, welcome to contact.
